I finally got it. Merry Christmas to me (Thanks mom!). After much research I got The Omega Vert350 juicer.
I am so happy. I was tired of hearing my husband complaining about my daily visits to Nekter
and he was tired of my $5 daily habit. Plus there were so many days I craved a juice and couldn’t make it to Nekter.
I am not a coffee drinker so I have never depended on caffeine for energy. I do heart Teavanna (Which also drove my husband crazy. What can I say I have expensive taste.)
,but even then,I drink non caffeinated tea. I honestly started obsessing over juicing because I liked the way it tasted, and I would rather drink a juice then eat breakfast.
But since juicing daily (I sound like such a meat head), I realize I have more energy then I had before. I feel so good!
This is what I have learned. Cold Press juicers (AKA masticating juicer) do not produce as much heat, so they keep vital enzymes, nutrients, and minerals intact. Research has showed that a Cold Press juicer retains double the nutrients the Centrifugal juicers. So why would I not
get a Cold Press juicer! After reading tons of reviews I chose The Omega VRT350 .
Why I LOVE it
It really is easy to clean. It takes a few minutes with little scrubbing.
Being that it’s a cold press juicer I can make juice up to 72 hrs ahead of time. So I can make it the day before (mornings are way too hectic).
I like the way it looks. It stands upright and looks modern (and I’m a modern girl). It takes up about as much space as a large blender.
Why you may not LOVE
There is a bit of pulp. I don’t mind it (more fiber) but if you do I can see it being annoying to strain.
The food shoot is small so you have to cut your produce (my apple cutter does wonders).
I’ll continue playing with my new toy and will be bringing you my juice creations….
